Hi Sheldon,
I've been advocating for Kingrinder since 2021, I was the first to make a review in Portuguese in Brazilian Coffee forums, and I'm a friend of Thales from Não sou Barista channel on YouTube. It was me who recommended him to make the reviews of the Kingrinder family. And finally, Kingrinder and Não Sou Barista entered into the partnership for him to review the grinders.
But I'm writing to alert you guys to something that may be a huge risk for your brand: a guy bought a K4 from Jaffee Coffee Store on AliExpress. It's a good store, I never had problems with them.
However, this grinder for some reason got rusty.
He tried to get some support both from Kingrinder and Jafee. And he said that Kingrinder only offered new bearings. But the axis is stuck due to this corrosion and he is not able to replace anything.
He is trying to get some help from our Coffee community in our Coffee forum and each step is being reported.
This is creating a risk aversion to Kingrinder. Not only because of this case, but because other people have had issues with grinders that came defective and AliExpress refunded only partially the purchase, grinders delivered partially assembled only, with the burs shaking during the transportation and damagins internally the body of the grinder.
So, if you think that Brazil is relevant as a market, please give more attention to this case. This forum is the most relevant in the coffee community in Brazil. And if I was able to spread the word about the qualities of K2, K4 and K6 that I bought, the opposite will happen if you don’t give the appropriate support to this customer.
It is building up, man. You can Google translate one of the topics where he is reporting the issue: https://forum.clubedocafe.net/topic/8382-kingrinder-k6/?do=findComment&comment=246779
Hope that you do the right thing.
Regards,
Regis Assao.
